Glued or side-sewn
The 9 × 9 and 11 × 8.5 softcovers are perfect-bound: the pages are glued into the spine of the cover. The 8.5 × 11 softcover is side-sewn, stitched through the pages near the spine, for books that get opened hard and often.

Questions
How thick is a softcover's spine?
It depends on the page count: about 1/380 of an inch a page, rounded up to the next hundredth. A 100-page softcover has a spine about 0.27 in wide.
Can a softcover have spine text?
Yes, from 80 pages up. Thinner spines are too narrow to print text on cleanly.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Print one copy or thousands, at the same price per copy.
Can I add a hardcover edition later?
Yes. Every softcover size also comes in hardcover. The covers are different sizes, so make a cover for each edition. See hardcover sizes.
