Preparing files
An order points at your print-ready PDFs by link. We download them when the order goes into production, so the links have to keep working until it ships.
What to send
interior_url: one PDF with every page of the product, in order. It has exactlypage_countpages.cover_url: a separate cover PDF, for books, journals and notebooks. Calendars and posters have no separate cover; everything is in the interior file.
Links
Each link must be an https:// address on a public host, up to 2,000 characters. Signed links, such as S3 presigned URLs, are fine if they stay valid until the order ships. A link that can't be downloaded puts the order in needs_attention.
Page counts
page_count has to fall in the product's range and step. Books take 20 to 160 pages in steps of 2; the others have a fixed count. Open a product for its exact page size, bleed, margins and cover size.

Print quality
- Use images at 300 DPI at the size they print.
- Embed every font in the PDF.
- Keep text and anything important away from the trim edge, and run backgrounds past it.
Proofs
A proof is one printed copy, shipped to your default brand's address on the dashboard, so you can check the trim, margins and cover before you sell. Proofs are optional: any SKU takes real orders straight away. See Going live.
